Linda Saunders Memorial Scholarship

The Linda Saunders Memorial Scholarship is a result of the lasting legacy of a long time Willmar High School English teacher.  Mrs. Saunders especially enjoyed teaching AP Communications/English 11 and took her role in preparing WHS students for their post-secondary plans very seriously, but always with a smile.  This scholarship aims to support two students annually pursuing a post-secondary degree in English, Creative Writing, Communications, or Marketing. Completion of AP Communications 11 at WHS is required and a faculty member will verify this prior to committee consideration.  Since Mrs. Saunders was a stellar varsity athlete during her own educational history, special consideration will be given to students who also were active in varsity athletics at WHS.
