About This Scholarship

Kandiyohi County Farm Bureau has been around since 1913 supporting families, farmers and food. The intention of this scholarship is to support local students expanding their education in Agriculture related careers.

Available Scholarships: 1 – $1,000

Renewable: No

  • Current Senior from any High School in Kandiyohi County or applicant must live in Kandiyohi County
  • GPA: 2.5 or higher
  • Planning to attend: Two or four year US-based college (full-time enrollment)
  • Major: Agriculture Related Major
  • Farm Bureau Family Membership is not required, but preference will be given to members

  • Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City (ACGC) High Schools
  • Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (BBE) High School
  • Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg (KMS) High School
  • MACCRAY High School
  • New London Spicer
  • Willmar High School

  • Essay: How do your future education plans align with Farm Bureau’s goal of supporting farms, families and food?
  • List of Activities in the following categories:
    1) Community Service, Community and Church Activities, Volunteer Experiences
    2) Extra-Curricular School Activities
    3) Work Experience. Include years involved and areas of leadership/participation
  • Electronic Transcript:
    High School Students – Provide Guidance Counselor’s (GC) e-mail address. GC will be asked to upload your official transcript.

  • May: Recipients will be notified via email in early May.
  • June 15: Recipients must sign their scholarship agreement and provide college information. CommunityGiving will verify that you are enrolled as a full-time student at the college.(Full-time enrollment is typically 12-16 credits)
  • June: Inform your college that you have received the scholarship.
  • September 1: Generally, full payment will arrive at your college unless otherwise notified.
