• Current Senior at Willmar High School or Willmar ALC
• No Minimum GPA Required
• Planning to attend: Two or four year college in any major (full-time enrollment)

• Application General Questions
• Essay Topic: Please describe any barriers you’ve experienced in your education until now and share how you have worked to overcome those barriers to graduate. If you expect these barriers to impact your college experience, share how you plan to manage those.
  Possible barriers may be:
  • mental health or health issues
  • household member with substance abuse issues
  • incarcerated parent
  • attended multiple school districts since Kindergarten (more than 2)
  • have a 504 plan or IEP
  • an English Language Learner
  • First Generation College Student
  • First Generation High School Graduate
  NOTE: COVID or ‘the pandemic interrupting normal education’ is not an eligible consideration
  for this scholarship.
• Description of Financial Need and Responsibility 

• May: Recipients will be notified via email in early May.
• June 15: Recipients must sign their scholarship agreement and provide college information. CommunityGiving will verify that you are enrolled as a full-time student at the college.(Full-time enrollment is typically 12-16 credits)
• June: Inform your college that you have received the scholarship.
• September 1: Generally, full payment will arrive at your college unless otherwise notified.
