Grant Applications Due June 30th
Alexandria, Minn. – The Alexandria Area Community Foundation (AACF) is reminding area nonprofits serving people in the Douglas County region that the Difference Maker Grant deadline is fast approaching. Grant applications are due on Tuesday, June 30th at midnight. Grant applications should be significant grants that will be the “difference maker” in bringing about a lasting, positive change in the Alexandria area community. AACF plans to award grants between $15,000 and $30,000. Local nonprofit organizations need to submit their applications online by June 30.
AACF started the Difference Maker Grant program to provide leadership, financial support and make a connection that goes beyond the grant in order to advance the project or initiative. The Difference Maker Grant Program focuses on five key areas: education (especially K-12 and after-school programs), social services that strengthen families, children and youth, health (education, physical and mental health and reducing violence), arts and culture and civic activities that build, promote and preserve communities.
Grant applicants must be 501(c) 3 nonprofit organizations, schools or government entities and serve residents within Douglas County.
