Central Minnesota Community Foundation Hosting Free Workshops on Corporate Giving

St. Cloud, Minn. – The Central Minnesota Community Foundation (CMCF) in St. Cloud will host two free workshops on Corporate Giving: How and Why Companies Give.   In the sessions, attendees will learn the steps to seeking corporate support for their programs or events and how to find corporate partners.  In addition, CMCF will offer information on the Foundation Center’s Funding Information Network.  Attendees will learn how to research foundations to fund their non-profit projects. 

The workshops will take place on Wednesday, November 22 at the Central Minnesota Community Foundation located at 101 South 7th Ave, Suite 100, St. Cloud, MN.  The same workshop will be offered twice, 9:00 am to noon and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.  Space is limited.  Register at www.communitygiving.org/events, by email to [email protected] or by phone at 320-257-9715.
 

CMCF is proud to be a partner of the Funding Information Network (FIN) of the Foundation Center in New York.  As a partner, CMCF offers free access to the Funding Information Network which is located in CMCF’s Resource Center. CMCF also offers workshops that demonstrate the Foundation Directory Online, the Foundation Center’s searchable database, which provides information on more than 150,000 grant makers and more than a million grant records.

The workshops will be led by Susan Lorenz, Director of Community Programs, at the Central Minnesota Community Foundation.  Susan has been writing grants for over 20 years. She has taught Grant Writing classes at Saint Cloud State University, and has spoken nationally about finding and securing grant funds.
