Three Local Students Receive Scholarships from the Community Foundation for Carver County

Carver County, Minn. – The Community Foundation for Carver County (CFCC), in conjunction with CommunityGiving, is pleased to announce the scholarship recipients of the Alexis Kretsch Memorial Scholarship Fund for this 2022-2023 school year. 

Cassidy Hughes, Maria Sosa and Grace Steffen, all from Waconia High School, each received $500 from the Alexis Kretsch Memorial Scholarship Fund.
  
Khai Tran, Executive Director of the CFCC shared that, “Alexis Kretsch was a student at Waconia High School and this fund is one way her memory continues to live on in our community. By supporting students to continue their education, pursue their dreams and work toward their goals, scholarship funds are an integral part of our community. We are so grateful to the donors who make this happen.”

CommunityGiving administers 139 separate scholarship funds, some of which serve Carver County and the surrounding area. These scholarships were established by individuals, families and businesses to support area students in their educational pursuits.
 
The Community Foundation for Carver County (CFCC) attracts and administers charitable funds for the benefit of the local community. Since 2004, the CFCC has grown to over $1 million in assets and awarded over $275,000 in grants to non-profits.
