Brainerd, MN – The Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation (BLACF), in partnership with CommunityGiving, is pleased to announce that Kim Rollins has joined the team filling the vacancy of the Donor Relations and Communications position that became available upon Terri Foster accepting the role of Executive Director in January.  Rollins will work closely with donors and fund holders and coordinate marketing and events.

Rollins shared, “I am excited to jump back into the nonprofit sector to help the Foundation grow in partnership with the staff and Board. Through charitable giving, we’re dedicated to providing concierge level service to our donors, nonprofits, and the community to make the Lakes Area even better, now and into the future.”

Rollins brings to the role an extensive marketing background from several different business sectors, including prior nonprofit experience. She comes to BLACF from Hubbard Radio where she worked as the Events Manager. Rollins has been active in the community and has volunteered with several nonprofit organizations including having previously served as the Executive Director of the Lakes Area United Way. Rollins is a longtime Lakes Area resident and holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Advertising from NDSU and an MBA from Concordia St. Paul.

According to Executive Director, Terri Foster, “Kim brings a big passion for serving others and her values align well with not only our Foundation but also my own. I am extremely excited to see how her experience and spirit, along with a very engaged Board of Directors, will help elevate the organization and continue to help connect charitably inclined donors to the needs of the community and change lives, just as we have done for 25 years.”
