| Derby Community Foundation Joins CG |
| St. Cloud, Minn. – CommunityGiving (CG) is pleased to announce that the Derby Community Foundation (DCF) of Derby, Kansas will be joining the organization as a partner foundation. As a philanthropic support organization that’s mission is to empower community foundations, CommunityGiving works with eleven other community foundations and administers over 1,000 funds totaling nearly $195 million and granted over $17 million last year back into the community. This is CommunityGiving’s first partner foundation outside of the state of Minnesota. Steve Joul, President/CEO of CommunityGiving, stated, “We look forward to working alongside their board and communities to further their vision of making Derby a great place to live, work and play.” The Derby Community Foundation was established in 1993 and serves the communities located within the Derby Unified School District 260 boundaries. Currently, the DCF has 41 funds totaling $2.5 million in assets. Theresa A. Hearn, Executive Director of the DCF stated, “We are excited to embark on this new partnership with CommunityGiving. The synergies of CommunityGiving along with our local passion for Derby are sure to take the DCF to the next level and create even more impact in our community.” The Derby Community Foundation officially joins CommunityGiving as of January 1, 2023.
