“Making investments into projects and programs that are having an impact on the way our community lives, works and plays is important to the board of the New London-Spicer Area Fund and we are excited to see how we can support what is happening already and what new ideas might be percolating,” says Sara Carlson, executive director of the Willmar Area Community Foundation.
The New London-Spicer Area Fund (NLSAF) was established in 2014 through the work of a citizen Blue Ribbon Planning Committee that helped develop the fund’s geographic service area and grant making priorities. The fund is now guided by a citizen advisory committee that makes recommendations on grants to be awarded and was the recipient of an anonymous cornerstone trust gift to aid in its creation. NLSAF is a fund of the Willmar Area Community Foundation (WACF).
