Jacob Nicholson of Alexandria was the recipient of $1,000 from the Thomas J. Reif Memorial Scholarship Fund. Paislee Dummer of Alexandria was the recipient of $5,000 from the Tommy and Alla Solberg Endowment Fund.
A total of 134 scholarships to 357 students were awarded across the region, benefiting students from Alexandria and surrounding area schools. This was made possible through the individuals, families and businesses who established scholarship funds with the partner community foundations who are empowered and supported by CommunityGiving.
“Scholarships reflect the faith our community has in students and their future success. Donors understand the transformative power of education and step up to ensure financial barriers don’t stand in the way of student achievement,” said A.J. Koewler, Executive Director of the AACF.
