Alexandria, Minn. – The Alexandria Area Community Foundation (AACF), in conjunction with CommunityGiving, is pleased to announce the scholarship recipients of the Thomas J. Reif Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Tommy and Alla Solberg Endowment Fund for this 2024-2025 school year.
Greta Oldenkamp of Alexandria was the recipient of $1,000 from the Thomas J. Reif Memorial Scholarship Fund. Selby Olson of Alexandria was the recipient of $4,000 from the Tommy and Alla Solberg Endowment Fund.
A total of 186 scholarships were awarded across the region, benefiting students from Alexandria and surrounding area schools. This was made possible through the individuals, families and businesses who established scholarship funds with the partner community foundations who are empowered and supported by CommunityGiving.
“Scholarships send a powerful message to students that our community believes in their potential and wants to see them succeed,” said A.J. Koewler, Executive Director of the AACF. “Our donors recognize the value of education and understand how essential financial support is in helping students reach their goals.”
