Local Foundation Now Accepting Grant Applications

Alexandria, Minn. – The Alexandria Area Community Foundation (AACF) is now accepting grant applications for two grant rounds. The “Difference Maker” grant round seeks to support community initiatives through a variety of grants.  Programs funded will bring about positive change in the Alexandria area community. The Ruth McDonald Fund grant round supports health and wellness in the Alexandria area – especially for the health needs of people in poverty. Both grant application deadlines are June 30th.
 
Eligible organizations are 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations, schools or governmental entities and must serve the residents of Douglas County.  For more information about the grant round, visit www.communitygiving.org/grants.  

In 2018 the AACF awarded five “Difference Maker” grants totaling $37,500 and the Ruth McDonald Fund awarded two grants totaling $10,000. 

The Alexandria Area Community Foundation (AACF) attracts and administers charitable funds for the benefit of the local Alexandria area.
