Community Giving

Antioch Company

Fund Name: Antioch-Creative Memories Fund
Fund Established: July 13, 1999
Community Foundation(s): Central Minnesota

Cheryl Lightle of Creative Memories, with the support of Lee M. Morgan, President of the Antioch Company, led the way for other companies to do charitable giving through the Central Minnesota Community Foundation in the late 1990s. The Antioch Company felt confident their gifts would help to support organizations which fulfill their charitable interests.

Antioch found CMCF helpful in this process. By utilizing CMCF staff knowledge of emerging needs of the community, Lee and Cheryl were able to select the grantees with values that closely resemble those of the Antioch Company.

One such grantee was the Casa Guadalupe project. The Antioch Company was able to provide operating support to the project for two years. Casa Guadalupe provided great services—medical care, transportation, food and shelter—for the Hispanic population in Cold Spring. The Antioch gifts truly changed lives in the community.
