Rockville-Cold Spring-Richmond, Minn. – The ROCORI Area Community Foundation announced today that their annual Community Builders Grant Round is accepting applications through May 1st. The purpose of this grant round is to provide funding for local non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations to advance a project or mission. Recently the Community Builders Campaign raised over $18,000.  The ROCORI Area Community Foundation is committed to grant up to 80 percent of those dollars. The other 20 percent grows an endowment fund to be used for future needs in the communities served.  Grants may range from $500 to $5,000.  All applications must be submitted online at www.communitygiving.org/grants.

The ROCORI Area Community Foundation’s purpose is to facilitate charitable giving. Through our work with local organizations and individuals, 23 individual funds totaling $647,000 in assets have been established.  Funds can be established by individuals or corporations for many purposes including donor advised funds, field of interest funds, scholarship funds, endowment funds or future planned gifts.  The partnership between the fund holders and the RACF brings a strong sense of local commitment from a dedicated board and grants committee, and specialized investment management services for the charitable funds held at the foundation.

Board members include: Jerry Wenner (Chair), Mike Heen (Vice Chair), Pat Donlin (Secretary), Helen Torborg-Prill (Treasurer), Roger Bechtold, Ron Clark, Jan Dingmann, Mike (Tucker) Plantenberg, Anita Reichert, Dan Steil, Nadine Schnettler, Teresa Vander Eyk, Duane Willenbring
