Leave Your Legacy

FACF gives individuals and families an opportunity to leave a legacy for future generations by setting up charitable funds which can benefit their favorite charities today into the future. Types of funds include:

  • Designated Funds: Direct your grant to a specific, established charity.
  • Donor Advised Funds: Recommend your grant go toward a specific, established charity.
  • Field of Interest Funds: Recommend your grant go toward a special interest category (i.e. the arts, athletics, scholarships, etc.)
  • Unrestricted Funds: Allow the local FACF board to direct your grant to meet the needs of the community.

Learn more about how you can establish a fund at FACF by contacting us at (877) 253-4380, by talking to a member of the FACF board or emailing

Tom Keating

Tom Keating Foundation Fund

Tom Keating was a charismatic, gifted teacher residing in Foley. He was the Minnesota 2004 Teacher of the Year and taught at an alternative learning program in Monticello. Tragically, Tom was killed on an icy rural road in January 2006. His family began fundraising to create a scholarship for one Foley High School student and one Turning Point Alternative Program student. They were able to work with CommunityGiving and the Foley Area Community Foundation to make that happen.
