The Farmington Community Foundation (FCF) partnered with Health Heart Safe Communities and the Allina Health Foundation to improve access to life-saving tools in the growing community of Farmington, Minnesota. This past February 2025, FCF donated its first automated external defibrillator (AED) to the Farmington-based restaurant Bourbon Butcher.

As part of its ongoing efforts to engage and support the Farmington community, the FCF worked with the Allina Health Heart Safe Communities program and the Farmington Police Department to determine which areas could best benefit from an AED. Along with the device, FCF was able to bring in Renee Hamdorf (from Allina Heartsafe Communities) who provided training and expertise on AED use and CPR for the eager volunteers at Bourbon Butcher.

FCF is proud to be leading the way for providing life-saving tools to the community, along with teaching the citizens how to help each other and save lives.
