Molly Renslow never stepped back from a challenge and made community outreach her job long before it became her official title at the College of Saint Benedict.

When asked at the turn of the century if she would be willing to lead a new initiative focused on engaging women in philanthropy and raising support for programs that empower women and girls, she could have said no. Instead, she pioneered the Women’s Fund at the Central Minnesota Community Foundation. Molly has dedicated her time to many organizations that enrich the greater St. Cloud area.

“I don’t think anyone has ever asked for help from Molly and didn’t get it,” said Maureen Opitz, director of donor relations at the College of Saint Benedict, who nominated Renslow for the ATHENA Award.

Molly’s name is known throughout the community, but it is her spirit that continues to ignite positive change.“She has inspired a vast network of friends, colleagues and acquaintances to truly make a difference in our community,” said Kimberly Motes, former vice president of Institutional Advancement at the College of Saint Benedict. “I am amazed at her ability to see connections and make things happen for numerous nonprofits. Molly does it all in a humble and seemingly effortless way.”
