Fund Established: December 31, 2002
Community Foundation(s): Willmar Area

Eleanor Larson celebrated her 90th birthday in 2003 and on that day she celebrated a life full of professional endeavor and service. Eleanor was a career woman from Minneapolis who, during her lifetime, worked for Kresge, Archer Daniels Midland and Lindsay Brothers. She didn’t retire at the customary age of 65; instead she worked until she was 80, spending the last 16 years working for the Billy Graham Crusade. She and her husband Reynold, who died in 2001, were generous people and their gifts to the Willmar Area Community Foundation reflect their interests. They made a generous gift to the Unrestricted Fund and The Reynold W. and Eleanor D. Larson Fund will support such charities as the Billy Graham Crusade and other endeavors as designated by estate administration.
