CMCF Established
Central Minnesota Community Foundation is established on November 21, 1985.
1998
WACF and BLACF Established
Willmar Area Community Foundation and Brainerd Lake Area Community Foundation were founded. Both foundations were declared into existence at the CMCF board meeting held on April 30th, 1998.
2011
AACF Joins
The Alexandria Area Community Foundation joined St. Cloud, Willmar, and Brainerd under the Central Minnesota Community Foundation.
2015
CommunityGiving Established
CommunityGiving was signed into existence on April 1st, 2015.
2017
EmpowerCF Conference
Launched our first organization-wide conference, CommunityGiving Day, which has now evolved into EmpowerCF on November 15, 2017.
2022
Reached 1,000 Charitable Funds
Reached 1,000 charitable funds that we support.
2023
DCF Joins
Derby Community Foundation of Derby, Kansas becomes CommunityGiving’s first out-of-state partner foundation on January 1st, 2023.
2024
VCF and GWBLCF Join
Virginia Community Foundation and Greater White Bear Lake Community Foundation join the network on July 1st, 2024.
