Community Foundation Grants $40K to Local Organizations

ST. CLOUD, Minn. –The Central Minnesota Community Foundation is awarding $40,000 in grants to local organizations that support those with special needs or boys and men’s programming.

The Central Minnesota Special Needs grants go toward supporting programming that serves those with complex intellectual and physical disabilities. The following organizations have received grants:

  • $6,700 was awarded to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of St. Cloud for its Therapeutic Engagement Project.
  • $10,000 was awarded to ConnectAbility of MN for its equipment program.
  • $3,800 was awarded Pleasantview Elementary (ISD #47) to purchase adaptive tricycles.
  • $9,500 was awarded to WASCOSA for its Lift Us Up Project.

The Central Minnesota Boys and Men’s Fund grants supports programs or projects that address key challenges facing males, such as educational disparities, mental health stigma, fatherhood support, and career development opportunities. The following organizations have received grants:

  • $2,500 was awarded to the Boys & Girls of Central MN for its Passport to Manhood program.
  • $2,500 was awarded to the D Blake Center for its Boys to Men program.
  • $2,500 was awarded to the United Way of Central Minnesota for its Community Mentorship: Fostering Resilience in Young Black Men program.
  • $2,500 was awarded to the Veteran Resource & Enrichment Center for its Oasis CREW Military Family Garden project.

The Central Minnesota Community Foundation (CMCF) attracts and administers charitable funds for the benefit of the local community.
