St. Cloud, Minn. – The Central Minnesota Community Foundation (CMCF) has a new Director of Donor Relations. Carrie Abfalter will begin in her new role with the foundation in September. Carrie has been a long-time Central Minnesota community member and says she’s excited to take on a role that will further her involvement.
“I’m grateful to be able to stay within the St. Cloud area community and to continue to help guide donors on how to achieve their giving-goals. Taking this next step in my career feels natural, I’ve found my new home at CMCF.”
Carrie started her professional career at the local nonprofit WACOSA about 20 years ago as a Site Coordinator and Client Manager. Most recently, she’s been the Director of Fund Development. Greta Stark-Kraker is the Executive Director of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation. She says Carrie’s previous experience will be beneficial as she joins the CMCF team.
“Carrie has significant experience in nonprofit leadership and working closely with donors. We’re very excited to have her bring her unique skillset to CMCF. We welcome Carrie as she begins in her new role.”
As Director of Donor Relations, Carrie will work closely with the Executive Director to assist donors with their philanthropic goals. This can include the creation of new funds, gift recognition and other required services offered through CMCF to its donors. In addition to working with donors, Carrie will also provide communication and special event support to Women’s Fund of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation and the associate foundations that operate underneath CMCF including the ROCORI and Paynesville Area Community Foundations.
