St. Cloud, Minn. – The Central Minnesota Community Foundation (CMCF) is pleased to announce our new Director of Foundation Initiatives, Christine Midthun. She began in her new role with the Foundation in September.
Most recently, Christine has served as Supervisor of the Gorecki Guest House at CentraCare, where she oversaw daily operations of the 28-room hospitality house, managed staff and volunteers, and worked closely with CentraCare Foundation teams to share guest stories and impact with donors.
Greta Stark-Kraker is the Executive Director of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation. She says Christine’s previous experience will be beneficial to our community and CMCF.
“Passionate about building stronger, more connected communities, Christine brings her expertise in donor stewardship, volunteer management, and strategic community relations to our CMCF team. She believes in our Foundation’s mission of engaging people, connecting resources and building community.”
Prior to her role with CentraCare, Christine spent over a decade with United Way of Central Minnesota as Director of Community Relations. In this role, she cultivated partnerships with community leaders and nonprofits, led donor engagement initiatives, and oversaw the allocation of more than $2 million annually to local programs. She also spearheaded large-scale volunteer projects, youth-led philanthropy initiatives, and community impact storytelling.
Christine began her career at Greater Twin Cities United Way as Segment Marketing Manager, where she helped establish the Women’s Leadership Council to support early childhood initiatives and built engagement opportunities for emerging and pre-retirement donors.
As Director of Foundation Initiatives, Christine will work closely with the Women’s Fund of CMCF, Friends of the Gardens as well as other initiatives and signature funds of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation.
