ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The 21st annual Charity Challenge has reached its halfway point and we are excited to announce that we’ve raised more than $130,000.

The Norman C. Skalicky Foundation, in partnership with the Central Minnesota Community Foundation (CMCF), host the annual Charity Challenge. The fundraiser helps benefit the Catholic Charities, Salvation Army and St. Joseph Food Shelves.

With over $130,000 raised so far, it means we’ve met our $100,000 match offered by the Skalicky Foundation. However, although we’ve reached that first goal, we still need your help in raising more funds than we did in the year prior. Last year, the Charity Challenge raised over $625,000.

If you are interested in making a donation, contributions should be sent directly to any of the following eligible food shelves to the attention of “Food Shelf Charity Challenge:”

A word from Catholic Charities:

“Catholic Charities of the Diocese of St. Cloud is grateful to the Norman C. Skalicky Foundation for again offering the Charity Challenge 2021 match, benefiting Catholic Charities Emergency Services Food Shelf and the community we serve. Last year, more than 1.3 million pounds of food were distributed to more than 12,000 individuals across more than 4,100 households. Thank you for helping us fight food insecurity in the St. Cloud area and for your gift this holiday season.”

A note from the St. Joseph Community Food Shelf:

“The Saint Joseph Community Food Shelf would like to thank Norman C. Skalicky Foundation and the community for giving us this opportunity once again to be part of the Charity Challenge. We were able to help the 121 families and provide many holiday baskets that we give throughout the season. God Bless!”
