| Deadline to Apply – March 31, 2022 St. Cloud, Minn. – A grant round that works to expand the arts in Central Minnesota is now open. The Central Minnesota Community Foundation (CMCF) has opened their annual Central Minnesota Arts Grant round, as of February 1, 2022. The purpose of the Central Minnesota Arts Grant is to support small to medium size arts organizations that make arts more accessible to area residents. The application deadline for the Central Minnesota Art Grant round is March 31, 2022. Greta Stark-Kraker, Executive Director of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation says arts programs help build social capital within our community by creating a bridge to express our differences and bond around our similarities. “The arts are an important facet in our community. Art education has been proven to help develop problem-solving skills, foster inventiveness and build bridges within communities. By offering the Central Minnesota Arts Grant round, our hope is to continue to bond as a community by supporting and improving the arts programs.” Other focus areas of the Central Minnesota Arts Grant include visual art and performing arts, including dance, music and drama. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations, schools or governmental entities. The focus area for this grant is to support visual art or performing arts.
