Brainerd, Minn. – The Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation (BLACF) announced today the addition of three new members to their Board of Directors. The three new members are Kevin Larson of CTC, Jim Kraft of Frandsen Bank & Trust and Quinn Nystrom of Qspeak. BLACF Executive Director Karl Samp commented “We are very excited for these three individuals to be joining our board. Their passion for community and innovation will be a great addition to our organization.”
The board of directors governs the Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation, conducts marketing and development activities, approves grant decisions and works to engage people, connect resources and build community. All members are volunteers and serve three year terms.
The Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation (BLACF), in affiliation with CommunityGiving, is a public charity that attracts and administers charitable funds for the benefit of the local community. Since 1998, BLACF has grown to over $9.4 million in assets and awarded over $4.3 million in grants to local nonprofits.
