Five returning and two new board members
Brainerd, Minn. – The Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation (BLACF) announced today approval of the election of Julie Ingleman and Darrell Paske to a first term, Ray Charpentier, Janelle Riley and Mary Jetland to a second term and Ruth Gmeinder and Bob Sweeney to a third term to the Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation Board of Directors.
The board of directors governs the Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation, conducts marketing and development activities, approves grant decisions and works to engage people, connect resources and build community. All members are volunteers and serve three year terms.
Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation, in affiliation with CommunityGiving, is a public charity that attracts and administers charitable funds for the benefit of the local community. Since 1998, BLACF has grown to over $8 million in assets and awarded over $3.9 million in grants to local nonprofits. CommunityGiving is a partnership of four community foundations, including Alexandria Area Community Foundation, Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation, Central Minnesota Community Foundation, and Willmar Area Community Foundation.
