St. Cloud, Minn. – The Central Minnesota Community Foundation (CMCF) Arts Fund is pleased to announce they have awarded 6 grants totaling $35,000. The GREAT Theatre received $6,000, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota $6,000, WACOSA $5,000, Great Northern Theatre Company $5,000, St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra $7,500 and Whitney Senior Center-City of St.Cloud $5,500.
GREAT Theatre will be using their $6,000 grant to fund their GREAT Learning Lab Theatre Programming. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota will be putting their $6,000 grant towards their Youth Arts Initiative – Keeping the Arts in Reach for All Youth program (previous “Express Yourself” showcase pictured below). WACOSA will be using their $5,000 grant to fund their Music and Movement for Adults with Disabilities program (past movement class pictured below). Great Northern Theatre Company (GNTC) will be putting their $5,000 grant towards the GNTC 2019 Summer Theater Access for Youth and Community. St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra will be using their $7,500 grant for the Classics for Kids-Musical Enrichment for 4th Graders program. Finally, the Whitney Senior Center will be putting their $5,500 grants towards the ACT on Alzheimer’s St. Cloud Metro Memory Choir.
The CMCF Arts Fund supports small to medium size arts organizations in Central Minnesota, with a focus on organizations that create access to the arts, support the appreciation of the arts, increase art education, and engage people in arts performances and exhibits.
