AACF Established
The Alexandria Area Community Foundation (AACF) was formed. A board of directors was established along with a strategic plan, which included being affiliated with the Minnesota Foundation.

AACF Joins
The Alexandria Area Community Foundation joined St. Cloud, Willmar, and Brainerd under the Central Minnesota Community Foundation.

Difference Make Grant
AACF held our first “Difference Maker” grant round and distributed $80,000 to the Alexandria Area Arts Association and the United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties.

AACF Response Fund
The Alexandria Area Response Fund was activated to support the community after two tornadoes that ripped through the area a week apart.
