WACF Adds Karina DeJong as Donor Services Coordinator

Willmar, Minn. – The Willmar Area Community Foundation (WACF) is pleased to announce Karina DeJong as the new Donor Services Coordinator. DeJong is from Willmar and a recent graduate from the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN with a degree in Global Business Leadership. During her time at the College of St. Benedict she was a Love Your Melon ambassador which is where she discovered her passion for philanthropy and community.

New London-Spicer Area Community Fund Accepting Grant Request to Support Community Needs

New London-Spicer, Minn. – The New London-Spicer Area Fund (NLSAF) announced today that they are now accepting grant applications. NLSAF wishes to fund projects/programs in the focus areas of arts (performing, crafts and fine arts), healthy communities, environment, large scale and sustainable initiatives and special collaboration initiatives involving two or more organizations working together in new ways. Arts Grant Round Open

The purpose of the Fund for the Arts is to support organizations in the Willmar area that provide art activities to make art more accessible to area residents. WACF Awards $104,300 to Local Organizations

Willmar, Minn. – The Willmar Area Community Foundation (WACF) announced today the recipients of $104,300 in grants to support eleven organizations who serve the Kandiyohi area communities. The WACF grant round has four focus areas – youth, elderly, diversity and Vision 2040 implementation projects.

WACF Seeks to Invest in Local Programs

Willmar, Minn. – The Willmar Area Community Foundation (WACF) is now accepting applications for their spring round of general grants. Eligible organizations must be a 501(c)3 non-profit organizations, school or government entity who serve residents of Kandiyohi County. The WACF does two grant rounds per year and focuses its grant making primarily on proposals from organizations providing service in the following areas: Youth Initiatives, Productive Aging, Diverse Communities and Vision 2040 endorsed projects. WACF Awards $99,000 in Grants to Local Organizations

WACF Approves Elections of Board of Directors for 2016-2017

Willmar, Minn. – The Willmar Area Community Foundation (WACF) announced today approval of the election of Duanie Amundson, Tori Leitch, Jeff Schultz and Chris Newcomer to a first term of three years, Sarah Klaassen to a second term of three years and Diane Shuck to a third term of three years on the Willmar Area Community Foundation Board of Directors. WACF also announced that Diane Schuck has been elected to serve as Secretary and Wayne Nelson has been elected to serve as Treasurer for the board.

Willmar Area Women's Fund Announces 2016 Campaign
