Tarryl Clark Selected as 2018 ATHENA Award Recipient

St. Cloud, Minn. –The Women’s Fund of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation has selected Tarryl Clark as the 2018 ATHENA Award recipient. Tarryl was chosen for the award because of her leadership and dedication to strengthening our community.

$475,000 Awarded to Organizations Supporting Communities of Color

St. Cloud, Minn.— The Central Minnesota Community Foundation (CMCF) announced today the grant recipients of the 2018 Minnesota State Opportunity Grant. Grant funding totaling $475,000 will be awarded to six organizations across central Minnesota. The purpose of the funding is to enhance long-term self-sufficiency for central Minnesota communities of color by improving education, housing and economic outcomes and to create positive long lasting impact on the community. The funding was made available pursuant to 2017 Laws of Minnesota, Chapter 94, Section 2, Subd. 2 (ee).

"Difference Maker" and Arts Grant Rounds Now Accepting Applications Through Central Minnesota Community Foundation

St. Cloud, Minn. – The Central Minnesota Community Foundation (CMCCF) announced today that they have two grant rounds that are now accepting applications for funding requests. The "Difference Maker" grants will be significant grants that bring about lasting and positive changes to the Central Minnesota communities. The Central Minnesota Arts Grants will be to support small to medium size arts organizations that make arts more accessible to area residents. Application deadlines for both grant rounds is June 30.

Foundations Provide Funding for Rural Poverty Programs and Projects

St. Cloud, Minnesota— The Central Minnesota Community Foundation and the Initiative Foundation jointly announced today that they are now accepting grant applications for the the 2018 Rural Poverty Grant Round. The two foundations, in partnership, have made $19,000 available to grant to area nonprofits, schools and government agencies who are working to develop solutions and implement programs that alleviate poverty in rural areas. The deadline to submit online applications is midnight on June 30, 2018.

Eight Organizations Awarded Grants from Bernick Family Foundation

St. Cloud, Minn. – The Bernick Family Foundation announced today that $150,000 in grants was awarded to organizations and projects within their two key focus areas of youth and education & health and fitness. Eligible organizations were required to be a 501(c)3 organization, school or governmental entity and serve one of the seven regions that Bernick's services.

Dancing with Our Stars 2018 Line-Up Announced

ST. CLOUD, MN – The third annual Women’s Fund Presents: Dancing With Our Stars will be held Monday, June 18, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at the College of St. Benedict’s Escher Auditorium. This year’s event will once again feature a dance competition between six local celebrities who have been paired with a professional partner for a chance to win up to a $15,000 grant for the non-profit program of their choice.

Local Programs Supporting Women and Girls Receive $59,000 in Grant

St. Cloud, Minn. – The Women’s Fund and Julianne Williams Fund of Central Minnesota Community Foundation announced today the recipients of their annual grants, totaling $59,000. The grants were awarded to eleven area organizations focusing on improving the lives of women and girls in central Minnesota. Charity Challenge Raises Record $468,673 for Food Shelves

Charity Challenge Returns to Help Local Food Shelves

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The Charity Challenge has become a tradition for the Norman C. Skalicky Foundation, the Central Minnesota Community Foundation and the St. Cloud metro area. Since the first Challenge in 2001, which raised $10,185; to last year’s record setting $464,045 challenge, this event has surpassed a total of $2.7 million raised for local food shelves.
