Bernick Family Foundation Seeks to Grant $120,000 to Programming for Youth & Education and Health & Fitness

St. Cloud, Minn. – The Bernick Family Foundation is now accepting applications for their annual grant round. The Bernick Family Foundation supports two key focus areas through their grant round; youth and education which includes activities to help prepare students for future success in education and the workplace, and health and fitness which includes activities that encourage active lifestyles and well-being. Grant application deadline is August 31, 2020.

Central Minnesota Response Fund Grants $64,500 to Local Organizations for COVID-19 Relief Efforts

St. Cloud, Minn. – The Central Minnesota Community Foundation (CMCF) announced today the most recent grant recipients from the Central Minnesota Response Fund to support local COVID-19 relief efforts. The Central Minnesota Response Fund made fifteen grants totaling $64,500.

CMCF Board of Directors Approves "Commitment to Our Community" Resolution

St. Cloud, Minn. – The Central Minnesota Community Foundation (CMCF) Board of Directors is pleased to announce that they, in partnership with CommunityGiving, have recently approved the "Commitment to Our Community" resolution. The "Commitment to Our Community" resolution was a collaborative effort between CommunityGiving and its partner foundations' boards of directors and will be used as an organization-wide guiding principle as the situation continues to evolve with the COVID-19 pandemic and recovery.

Local Foundation Receives Funding from Statewide Relief Efforts Amid COVID-19 Crisis

St. Cloud, Minn. – The Central Minnesota Community Foundation (CMCF) is pleased to announce that they, in partnership with CommunityGiving, have recently received a grant of $57,100 through the Minnesota Disaster Recovery Fund (MDRF) for coronavirus relief. This funding, along with contributions to the Central Minnesota Response Fund, will be used to support local relief efforts from the COVID-19 pandemic which will include wide-scale initiatives to help meet critical basic needs as well as sustaining local organizations providing critical services through recovery. The Central Minnesota Response Fund has $150,000 available as of March 31.

Foundations Provide Funding for Rural Poverty Programs and Projects

St. Cloud, Minnesota — The Central Minnesota Community Foundation and the Initiative Foundation jointly announced today that they are now accepting grant applications for the the 2020 Rural Poverty Grant Round. The two foundations, in partnership, have made $20,000 available to grant to area nonprofits, schools and government agencies who are working to develop solutions and implement programs that alleviate poverty in rural areas. The deadline to submit online applications is midnight on June 30, 2020.

Dancing with Our Stars 2020 Event Update in Response to COVID-19

St. Cloud, Minn. – The Women’s Fund of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation has made the difficult decision to hit the pause button on this year’s Women’s Fund Dancing With Our Stars event, scheduled to be held on June 15th at the College of St. Bens. We feel it is the best course of action and the most responsible decision we can make for the health and safety of everyone involved in the live dance performance, our committee members, the CMCF staff, guests and our community.

Arts Grant Round Now Accepting Applications Through Central Minnesota Community Foundation

The goal of the Central Minnesota Arts Grant is to support small to medium size arts organizations that make arts more accessible to area residents. Seeking Nominations for ATHENA Award

St. Cloud, Minn. – The Women’s Fund of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation is seeking nominations for the ATHENA Award which is presented to a woman who has an extended history achieving excellence in her career and inspires others in the St. Cloud area. Nominations for this award will be accepted until April 30th and the recipient will be honored at the Central Minnesota Community Foundation Annual Dinner to be held on September 10th.
