Paynesville Area Community Foundation Awards $20,000 to Local Organizations

Paynesville, Minn. – The Paynesville Area Community Foundation (PACF) announced today the recipients of $20,000 in grants to support three organizations who serve the Paynesville area. The PACF grant round funding priorities focused on projects that will help bring about lasting and positive change to the community in the areas of education, social services, arts and culture, civic, recreational and health.

CMCF Names Greta Stark-Kraker Director of Donor Relations

St. Cloud, Minn. – The Central Minnesota Community Foundation (CMCF) is pleased to announce Greta Stark-Kraker as the new Director of Donor Relations of the Foundation. Stark-Kraker started working for the Foundation in 2001 as an administrative assistant. Most recently she worked closely with the President & CEO of CommunityGiving as the Executive Operations Manager to provide efficient and effective overall operations and administrative support to it’s affiliate partner foundations for CommunityGiving. Bernick Family Foundation Awards $150,000

Women's Fund and Julianne Williams Fund of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation Grant $57,000 to Local Non-Profits

The grants were awarded to twelve area organizations focusing on improving the lives of women and girls in central Minnesota.

Charity Challenge Raises Record $442,000 for Food Shelves

St. Cloud, Minn. – The Norman C. Skalicky Foundation and the Central Minnesota Community Foundation announced today that the Charity Challenge raised a record $442,679 to provide much needed support for area food shelves. The Charity Challenge also passed a major milestone this year by cumulatively having raised over $2.2 million for local food shelves since it began in 2001.

Charity Challenge Returns to Help Local Food Shelves

The Skalicky Foundation and the Central Minnesota Community Foundation announced today that the Charity Challenge match for local food shelves will take place again this year – matching every dollar donated to three area food shelves (up to $100,000) this holiday season. Donations for the Charity Challenge need to be received by December 31.

CMCF Approves Elections of Board of Directors for 2016-2017

Lynn Grewing Selected as 2016 ATHENA Award Recipient

St. Cloud, Minn. –The Women’s Fund of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation has named Lynn Grewing the 2016 ATHENA Award recipient. Lynn was chosen for the award because of her dedication and passion as an educator to positively influence the lives of her students and others in the community. The award presentation will happen at the Central Minnesota Community Foundation Annual Dinner on September 13th, 2016.
