William (Bill) Martin-Chaffee’s story begins on a small beef farm in Hinckley, Minnesota, where he was raised with a strong work ethic and a deep sense of community. That foundation carried him to St. Cloud State University, where he earned a degree in Business Management and Human Resources, all while serving his country as a Chaplain’s Assistant in the Minnesota Army National Guard.

For the past 18 years, Bill has poured his talents into BRAMER Medical Services, a medical consulting company he manages alongside his husband of 10 years, Dr. Edward (Chip) Martin-Chaffee. Together, they’ve built not just a thriving business but a loving family. Their two school-aged children came into their lives through adoptions made possible by Lutheran Social Services—a chapter of their story they hold especially dear.

Bill’s passion for giving back extends far beyond his professional life. Deeply committed to fostering diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, he serves on numerous nonprofit boards dedicated to these ideals in Central Minnesota. He’s also a hands-on volunteer, mentoring youth at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and lending his time to organizations like the Women’s Fund of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation.

When he’s not busy making a difference, Bill finds solace in the simple joys of life. Whether he’s tending to his garden, caring for his bees, or perfecting something delicious on the grill, he brings the same dedication and heart to every task.

Bill’s life is a testament to the power of service, love, and community—a reminder that the most meaningful legacies are built through both action and heart.
