White Bear Lake, Minn. – The Greater White Bear Lake Community Foundation (GWBLCF) Board of Directors and CommunityGiving (CG) are pleased to announce that the GWBLCF will be joining CG as a partner foundation. CommunityGiving is a philanthropic support organization working with 16 community foundations. Combined, these partners provided more than $18 million in grants through more than 1,200 funds with assets nearing $240 million.
Tim Torgerson, Board Chair of GWBLCF stated, “We are thrilled to begin this new partnership with CommunityGiving. By combining their expertise with our deep-rooted passion for the Greater White Bear Lake community, we are confident that our local community foundation will reach new heights and make an even greater impact in our community.”
The Greater White Bear Lake Community Foundation was established in 2015 and serves the communities that share the shores of White Bear Lake—Birchwood Village, Dellwood, Grant, Mahtomedi, White Bear Lake, White Bear Township, and Willernie. Currently, the GWBLCF has 39 active funds totaling $4.8 million in assets.

The Greater White Bear Lake Community Foundation officially joined CommunityGiving as of August 15, 2024.
