| Willmar, Minn. – The Willmar Area Community Foundation (WACF) is pleased to announce that 25 students from Kandiyohi County received $56,000 in academic scholarships for the 2022-2023 school year. The WACF administers 9 separate scholarship funds established by individuals, families and businesses to support area students in their educational pursuits. “Our kids are our future. By supporting our student’s education, we not only make an investment in our children but an investment in the future of our communities. Thank you to our donors who continue to make this possible,” stated Sara Carlson, Executive Director of WACF. Scholarship recipients for the 2022-2023 school year are (sorted by school district):Anders Grimsgard of ACGC High School was awarded $1,000 from the Adams Family Scholarship Fund and $1,000 from the Harold E. Bjur Scholarship Fund. Liberty Jans of ACGC High School was awarded $1,000 from the Marv Otto Scholarship Fund.Abbie Kragenbring of ACGC High School was awarded $1,000 from the Adams Family Scholarship Fund and $1,000 from the Harold E. Bjur Scholarship Fund. Brady Schultz of ACGC High School was awarded $1,000 from the Marv Otto Scholarship Fund.Logan Straumann of ACGC High School was awarded $1,000 from the Harold E. Bjur Scholarship Fund.
