Theater Latté Da will bring its one-of-a-kind theatrical performance to St. Cloud for this year's Women on Stage.
Founded in 1998 by St. John's graduate Peter Rothstein and Denise Prosek, Theater Latte Da has received a series of awards for their work, including the Gabriel Award for Broadcast Excellence, Best Twin Cities Theater from City Pages, and numerous “Best of” awards from the Star Tribune and Pioneer Press.
The Women's Fund will host the 11th Annual Women on Stage June 17 at the College of St. Benedict.
For over a decade, the Women on Stage event has brought hundreds of men and women together for a casual evening of engaging entertainment, conversation and connections for causes that are supporting women and girls in our community. This year's event benefits four local causes:
- GREAT Theatre
Funding the production of the play “The Secret Lives of Girls,” a play about bullying to be performed in schools
- St. Cloud VA Health Care System
Providing outreach to Women Veterans
- Hope Community Support Program of Catholic Charities
Suporting mentally ill elder women
- College of St. Benedict
Recognizing 100 Years of educating women
The impact of this event is signficant. In the last decade, the Women on Stage event has raised nearly $900,000 to support local causes making the difference in the lives of girls, women in transition and elder women.
