WACF Remembers Larry Wepplo

The Willmar Area Community Foundation lost a good friend and dedicated community member in April when Larry Wepplo died at the age of 42. Larry had been active in the Foundation as a board member and played an instrumental role in the Willmar Good Samaritan Fund. He served as treasurer of the Foundation board when he died on April 2.
At the Foundation, we fondly remember Larry for his honesty, integrity, smile and giving spirit. He gave back not only to the Community Foundation, but also Mainstreet Willmar, E-quip Africa, Long Lake Access Association, Willmar Kiwanis, Church of St. Mary and other local organizations.
A Certified Public Accountant and partner at Conway, Deuth & Schmiesing, Larry was well-respected in his field and the community. Larry was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Minnesota Society of Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Larry enjoyed classic cars, racing, attending car shows, reading, history, traveling and being with his family and friends. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting deer and pheasants. He was an avid Gopher Football and Husky Hockey fan.
