A Future: Minnesota Girls Are Not For Sale -- June 23
Brainerd, Minn - The Women’s Fund of the Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation will host presenters from the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota June 23rd for an educational luncheon addressing the increased incidence of trafficking of young girls and what can be done to address the startling trend.
The presentation, entitled “A Future: Minnesota Girls Are Not For Sale," will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 23 at the Northland Arboretum in Brainerd. Cost is $10 per person and lunch will be provided.
This event will highlight the work of the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota, including new research on the status of women and girls in Minnesota, including in Cass and Crow Wing counties, and the recent groundbreaking initiative to end the commercial sexual exploitation of girls in the State. Presenters will also share excerpts from an interview with an 11-year-old female trafficking survivor.
