Horn of Africa - Fight the Famine

Record numbers of Somalians are fleeing to the Dadaab Refugee Camp in hopes they can survive a great famine in the Horn of Africa. Tens of thousands - mostly children - have died in the last 90 days and another 3.2 million are expected to die in the coming weeks, according to World Help. It is a camp where many local Somali immigrants once stayed and now know many who are fighting for their lives.

The Horn of Africa is facing one of the greatest hunger crises in modern times with more than 30,000 children, under the age of five, perishing in the last 90 days in southern Somalia alone and 12 million Somalis, Kenyans, and Ethiopians starving due to the worst drought since the 1950s, according to World Help. Get updates on the crises from the World Help blog.

What is the situation at the Dadaab Refugee Camp?
