Formed in 2004, the Foley Area Community Foundation raises and distributes money to schools in district 51 and to select nonprofits in the Foley/Greater Foley area.

deepest meaning and significance"

Just Want to Talk?

If you wish to speak to a representative from the Foley Area Foundation about making a gift of stock or property, establishing an endowed fund, or joining our board of directors, please contact Doug Scott or Becky Howard, and someone will get back to you right away.

Annual Grant Process

The Foley Area Foundation awards grants each spring to qualifying local nonprofits.  All applications must be completed and returned by February 1st of each year.  Click here for a copy of the grant application and qualification criteria.

For Alumni/ae

Foley Alumni/ae and other individual donors can make targeted donations to their favorite programs.  Gifts can be earmarked for any of the following and are generally tax deductible:
  • Needs of the Foley Public Schools
  • Needs of St. John's Area School
  • Community needs in the Foley and greater Foley area
  • Where it's needed most

For Families

Families come to the Foundation because they can establish a named fund, or a memorial fund on behalf of a loved one, with as little as a $10,000 contribution. These endowments are a great way to perpetuate the name and memory of a beloved, while helping others.

For Civic Groups

Civic groups enjoy working with the Foundation because they can direct available resources into endowed funds bearing their name, insuring their charitable giving well into the future.

Setting Up A Fund

If you are interested in learning more about how to establish a fund and you would like to discuss the process, please contact Glen Tautges at (877) 253-4380 or talk to a member of the Foley Area Foundation Board.
