Frequently Asked Questions
How can I get involved with the Emerging Leaders Forum?
With the Emerging Leaders Forum, you decide how involved you want to be. ELF plans social events for current and prospective members, as well as community outreach activities and educational meetings about community issues and philanthropy. Members can get more involved by volunteering to help with a project or to serve on a committee. It's up to you whether you join a committee, volunteer to help with projects, simply attend events that interest you, or just contribute financially.
How much do members contribute and where do the gifts go?
ELF doesn't have a membership fee in the traditional sense. Members do make gifts to the Emerging Leaders Fund of at least $125 per person or $250 per couple each year. Gifts are generally tax-deductible, and the pooled contributions are used to support ELF's community projects and grant.
Who manages the contributions?
Because this group is sponsored by the Central Minnesota Community Foundation, the group's contributions will be invested according to their investment guidelines and policies.
Who can I contact for more information?
Please contact the Central Minnesota Community Foundation at (320) 253-4380 or any member of the Steering Committee.
